Stock Show Parade (via Denver Public Radio)

🐂 Stock Show Parade | Union Station | Thursday, January 4 | 12pm | FREE | The 118th National Western Stock Show kicks off this week with a parade of 30 Longhorn cattle walking through downtown. There are many other events, from rodeos to live music throughout the weekend; learn more here.

The Bacon Sun City (via Call Your Mother website)

🥯 Call Your Mother Deli | Bagel Shop | Hilltop | 7am - 2pm

The mega-popular D.C.-based bagel shop crafting a diverse set of funky bagel sandwich combinations opened its third location in Denver on Holly Street near the Hilltop neighborhood. I went and got the Thunderbird, which was very good. They also have a bunch of espresso drinks, and you can purchase bags of bagels too. Make sure to go early because there is always a line!

🍺 Prost Biergarten | Brewery | Northglenn | Times vary daily

The grand opening is today! Prost welcomes the 10k square foot biergarten and production headquarters to Northglenn. They serve a wide array of German-inspired beers and traditional food. Some interesting items include a sharable sausage board with sauerkraut and mustard and authentic pretzels. They will have a bunch of different beers on tap, including the Prost Pils, which recently took home a medal at the 2023 Great American Beer Festival.

🎾 3rd Shot Pickleball | Indoor Pickleball & Bar | Wheat Ridge | Times Vary Daily

Colorado's largest indoor pickleball club and bar just opened another location in Wheat Ridge with 13 indoor courts. Open for public court reservations or purchase a membership for special discounts and priority booking. They also have a full bar + food menu.

HIKE: Parmalee Trail Loop

⛰️ Mount Falcon Park | 35 min from Denver | Moderate | FREE | Route

3.0-mile loop trail near Morrison, Colorado. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 hr 30 min to complete. A loop with 550 feet of elevation gain and a mix of meadow and mountain views. Consider boots, given some muddy conditions, and check here for any trail closures prior to heading to the trailhead!
