❤️ 5 Dates In Denver
Roses are red, violets are blue, and we've got 6 date ideas in Denver to inspire you! While chocolate and flowers are nice, why not create a more memorable experience by taking your special someone on a unique date in Denver. Each of these dates includes an activity + meal with a range of price options.
5 Dates In Denver
PC: Denver Post & Mister Oso
1: Candle Making + Mexican Food
$$$ | RiNo | 12 min walk between
The Date: Start the night at PaddyWax Candle Bar in RiNo. Customize your candle by choosing a vessel (from 20+ options) and fragrance and pouring the wax with help from their expert chandlers. The class takes about 45 minutes and costs $45 per person. The candles need to be set for 3 hours before you can take them home, so head to Mister Oso in RiNo, just over a 10-minute walk, for fantastic Mexican food. We had their queso, ceviche, and birria tacos, which tasted great with a frozen margarita.
Prep: Book the candle-making class online. Make a reservation at Mister Oso.
2: Burgers + Mini Golf
$$ | RiNo | 6 min walk between
The Date: Begin your night at Park Burger in RiNo. There is no need for a reservation as it is first come, first serve, and they have a large inside and + a heated patio. They offer a wide selection of burgers and sandwiches; we tried the Fun Guy and Gettin Figgy Wit It. After dinner, head to Puttshack for a round of tech-inspired mini golf. They have four different courses, and a round of 9 holes costs $14 per person.
Prep: Book your tee time online.
PC: McGregor Skate
3: Winery + Outdoor Ice Skating
$$ | LoDo | 3 min walk between
The Date: Head to Blanchard Family Wines in the Dairy Block Alley, an urban winery offering tasting flights and wines by the glass from its expansive list of California & Colorado vineyards. We tried a customizable flight and charcuterie board. They have happy hour from 1-6 pm on Fridays with $1 off wines. Then, head to McGregor Square to ice skate and listen to music. Skate rental + admission is $15 per person.
Prep: McGregor Skate is only open Friday – Saturday: 12-9 pm and Sunday: 12-6 pm. Optional reservation at Blanchard Family Wines.
PC: Sofar Sounds
4: Bruschetta + Pop-up Music
$$ | LoHi | Depends on music venue location | 21+
The Date: Kick off your evening at a Postino to enjoy a board of bruschetta or panini along with a glass of wine. Then, walk to a unique concert venue to listen to a local artist perform. Sofar Sounds offer pop-up concerts across town with tickets for around $20 per person. You can pick a music genre and type of venue, but won’t find out the exact location until the day before the event. Most venues serve beverages or allow for BYOB. We saw a local country artist in a co-working space, and it was amazing! Another way to have this date is to find a pop-up concert on a Monday or Tuesday, and when the music ends, head over to Postino (after 8 pm) for their $25 board & bottle deal.
Prep: Pick the neighborhood and book the Sofar Sounds pop-up concert tickets. Reserve your spot at the nearest Postino. Consider a concert venue in Highlands or near Broadway, as they are close to Postino locations.
PC: Flight Club
5: Japanese BBQ + Darts
$$$ | LoDo | 5 min walk between
The Date: Commence the evening at Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ located in Lodo. Pick from a large selection of meats & vegetables to grill at your table. After dinner, take a quick walk to Flight Club, a social darts club, to test out your skills. They offer the ability to reserve a darts lane for two people, $15 each for 90 minutes. They also serve drinks and desserts.
Prep: Book a reservation at Gyu-Kaku. Reserve a darts lane at Flight Club.
